Prayer Ministry

Prayer Chain

From "Standing in the Gap" by Andrew Murray: "What a mystery of glory there is in prayer.  The glory of intercession is when a man is bold and asks from God what he desires for others.  He seeks to bring one soul, or maybe hundreds and thousands, the power of eternal life with all its blessings."

We are blessed to have 24 prayer warriors lifting to the Lord the many prayer request we receive.  This dedicated group sees God working in mighty ways and gives him thanks for hearing our petitions.  The prayer chain ministry in 2018 is headed by Sheila Patterson.  If you would like to be a member of this ministry speak to Sheila.  You can contact this ministry online.

You can also ask for prayer using the Prayer Requests icon above.

Intercessory prayer

Andrew Murray continues to say, "Intercession!  Surely this is the very holiest exercise of our boldness as God's children.  It is the highest privilege and enjoyment connected to our communion with God.  It is the power of being used by God as an instrument for his great work of making people his dwelling place and showing forth his glory."

Currently we have seven members who are assigned as a team of two who have made themselves available on the 2, 4 and 5th Sundays to intercede for others and to give thanks for answered prayers.  The team stands in the back of the church, ready to take anyone who comes following communion back to the chapel for prayer.  Please don't hesitate to use this ministry.  We are in need of more members for intercessory prayer.  Please let Father Tere or Joy Weber know if you feel God is calling you to this ministry.

Healing prayer ministry

On the first Sunday of every month, following the service, a team of two meets with anyone who is in need of prayer.  At the foot of the altar and in the quietness of the church, the team takes all the time needed to hear and pray for those who come.

"Surely the church should count intercession as one of the chief means of grace.  The church should seek above everything else, to cultivate among God's children the power of an unceasing prayerfulness on behalf of the perishing world."  Andrew Murray.
